Monochromatic Mojo

I was really intrigued by the Mojo Monday sketch this week but needed a push – then I thought to myself that I needed to make a couple of housewarming cards. Great place to start!  And, I recently got the amazing Thoroughly Modern DSP. I was really drawn to the Soft Suede patterns especially so I decided that I’d do a card with just Soft Suede and Vanilla (in this case I  used Naturals Ivory as it is a bit stronger).

The base is Naturals Ivory and is layered with the small dotted Soft Suede pattern. The bottom has the small flower Soft Suede pattern and the seam is covered with Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon.

For the three panels, I used yet another variation of Soft Suede designer paper from Thoroughly Modern.

The focal panel is the Neighbourhood jumbo wheel in Sahara Sand on Naturals Ivory, backed in Soft Suede.

Lastly, I stamped the “from our house to yours” stamp from Sweet Season and punched it out with the wide oval punch. I then stamped it again and cut out the house. I coloured the heart in with my Rose Red marker and then rolled up the corner of the middle DSP panel.

I most certainly could have added more embellishments but I decided to keep it clean and simple.

Thanks for stopping by today!
